“Misty Woodland”

November 17th, 2009 by 26pm

“It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men’s hearts, as for that subtle something that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.” –Robert Louis Stevenson

This piece, although my newest, is one of my all-time favorites. I love the beauty and the stillness of the woodland. If you notice, the small deer is so connected with his surroundings that he is literally a part of the forest environment.  Also, all the curves you see in this image were hand-drawn in ink on several separate pages — photo after the jump!
